History of Muktinath

Muktinath, Thiru Salagramam or Chumig Gyatsa is the most divine and sacred pilgrimage place in Nepal for both Buddhists and Hindus. Muktinath is one of the 108 Divyadeshas which is a must visit for all Vaishnavas. Lord Narayana himself got Mukti from the curse of Tulasi and He became stone. And Lord Vishnu is worshipped as Shalagramam along with Tulasi leaf.

Where is Muktinath located

Muktinath dham is located in Annapurna Valley at an altitude of 3,710 meters at the foot of the Thorong La mountain pass (part of the Himalayas) in Mustang, Nepal.
